Monthly Veneration of True Cross Relic at Covington Cathedral

The cathedral basilica of St Mary of the Assumption in Covington, Kentucky, is offering the veneration of a relic of the True Cross on the first Friday of every month, from noon to 1pm; Confession is made available concurrently. The dates for the rest of this year are July 7, August 4, September 1, October 6, November 3, and December 1. The monthly veneration is sponsored by the Knights and Dames of the Covington-Lexington section of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.

It concludes with a blessing and the opportunity for the faithful to come forward and personally venerate the True Cross; they may also visit the cathedral’s relic shrine in the apse, which contains over 350 relics.
