Recent Celebrations of Our Lady of Mt Carmel

Our thanks to Mr Mark Bertotti for sharing with us these photos of two recent celebrations of the feast of Our Lady of Mt Carmel on July 16th, at two different churches entitled to Her. The first is in Newark, New Jersey, where a Pontifical Mass was celebrated by His Excellency Arthur Serratelli, Bishop Emeritus of Paterson, who was raised in this parish and attended its school.

The second set come from the Pontifical Shrine of Our Lady of Mt Carmel in New York City, which holds several Masses over the days leading up to the feast, plus Benediction, recitations of the Rosary, etc., culminating in a great outdoor procession n the evening of the feast itself.
