The church of Our Lady of Mt Carmel in Newark, New Jersey, will celebrate the traditional Latin Mass on the next two Saturdays; the second of these will be a Pontifical. The church is located at 259 Oliver Street. On Saturday Nov. 20, the Mass will be celebrated in honor of Our Lady of Divine Providence, patroness of Puerto Rico, at 7pm.
On Saturday the 27th, His Excellency Arthur Serratelli, bishop emeritus of Paterson, New Jersey, will celebrate a Pontifical Requiem Mass with the absolution at the catafalque for the repose of Mons. Joseph Ambrosio, a regular celebrant of the TLM, who served as pastor of Our Lady of Mt Carmel for 25 years, and passed away in October of last year. The Mass will begin at 11 am.
