We are always happy to share with our readers the work of one of our favorite photographers, Mrs Allison Girone, who was kind enough to send us pictures of some recent events that she has attended. This past Sunday, a solemn Mass was celebrated at the church of the Carmelite Monastery in Philadelphia, to petition Our Lady of Mount Carmel for many graces, including the return of the Traditional Carmelite Sisters to the century-plus old Carmel of Philadelphia.
A particularly good shot!

On Sunday, June 27th, the church of St Mary in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, home of the FSSP apostolate in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, welcomed His Excellency Archbishop Nelson Perez, who attended in choir and preached at the solemn Mass, which was that of the external solemnity of Ss Peter and Paul. (Abp Perez was born in 1961, and mentioned in his sermon this was the first time he had ever attended the Latin Mass. This in itself represents the turning of an important corner; there are fewer prelates nowadays for whom the Church’s traditional liturgy is a symbol of the “pre-Conciliar” Church, and their personal memories, or resentments, of it.)Tradition will always be for the young!
On Sunday, June 13th, newly-ordained Fr Carlos Santa Teresa celebrated a first Mass in the traditional rite at Mater Ecclesiae in Berlin, New, Jersey, with our own Fr Robert Pasley helping him as the assistant priest. The Mass was that of external solemnity of the Sacred Heart, followed by a procession with a statue of Our Lord.Back to St Mary’s for the feast of Corpus Christi...
...and for a wedding; congratulations to the happy couple, Julia and Michael - ad multos annos! In the traditional rite, the wedding ritual is performed before the Mass, not within it, so that the first thing the couple does together in their married life is go to Mass.
