The National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) begins today in Indianapolis, with over 20,000 young people attending. Once again, a Solemn High Mass in the Extraordinary Form will be offered as part of the conference, taking place tomorrow, November 22, at 4pm at St. John’s Church downtown (across the street from the Convention Center). The choir will sing Palestrina’s Missa Brevis to celebrate St Cecilia’s feast day. This is the third year an EF Mass will be offered during the conference, and each year the Mass has been moved to a bigger room as attendance continues to rise. (The first year there were more people overflowing outside the room in the convention center than inside the chapel itself!)
