First of all, I apologize to all those who sent these photos in for the long delay in getting them posted. This delay is partly due to the fact that I was traveling in the days just after the Assumption, and staying in a place with terrible internet service. In any case, once again we have a little bit of everything here - solemn Masses, blue vestments, the Byzantine Rite, plenty of processions, and the traditional blessing of flowers. The boat carrying the Eucharist departs the landing, accompanied by other boats with the Cross, bells, incense, and statue of Our Lady of the Assumption, and followed by 50 other boats carrying the faithful.
The statue is carried to three different churches in St Martinville.
