The church of Our Lady of Victory/St Joseph in Rochester, New York, recently celebrated both its sesquicentennial anniversary, and the completion of a church restoration project. Some photos of the dedication mass, celebrated by the Bishop Rochester, H.E. Salvatore Matano, can be found on the diocesan website: https://catholiccourier.com/photography/rochester-church-celebrates-sesquicentennial-renovation. The service featured an orchestral mass by Gounod, Latin and English chant, choral works by Bruckner and Stravinsky, and a Gregorian Te Deum.
The restoration was overseen by Granda Liturgical Arts; highlights include the addition of an altar rail, marble flooring in the sanctuary, complete restoration of the statuary and altars, newly commissioned paintings for the sanctuary and apse, and a baptistery.
