The occasion of his visit was for confirmations which were celebrated this past Saturday, January 19th.
The liturgy was celebrated according to the Book of Divine Worship -- and as you can tell, ad orientem. (Presumably as well, this liturgy was also celebrated accordingly to "Rite I" which is in hieratic English.)
