I am happy to announce that Zaccheus Press has just released a second, revised and expanded edition of my book, Loving and Living the Mass. First published in late 2007, the book has been revised to bring it into conformity with the new English translation of the Missale Romanum (Ordinary Form). Moreover, the second edition features two new chapters: an explanation of why a new translation was needed, and an apologia for formal, ritualized worship.
Loving and Living the Mass is intended to help Catholics (whether cradle, new, or prospective) engage more deeply with the Church's greatest act of worship, the Eucharistic Sacrifice.
Among the surfeit of Mass guides that have been published in recent years, this one has the advantage of being brief (only 84 pages, including the bibliography), and thus inexpensive, without compromising theological depth. Perhaps you'll consider giving it to someone on your Christmas gift list.
