A couple of weeks ago, we made brief reference to a rather critical and needless to say controversial article by Sandro Magister. We further pointed out a related letter by the Holy Father, written by the pontiff on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music.
But returning to Magister's critique of the progress of sacred music in Rome and of the papal programme related to the same, Jeffrey Tucker over at the Chant Café recently wrote an article which takes Magister's assessment to task. The piece may be read here: Magister Gets It Wrong, Very Wrong
