Pentecost

As we approach Pentecost, here is a painting by the Hungarian artist Istvan Dorffmaister. This is a wonderful painting that is in the Hungarian national gallery in Budapest (I have never been to Hungary, so have only seen photographs of it). It is painted in the classic Baroque style but relatively late, 1782.
