In the modern Roman calendar, today is Divine Mercy Sunday -- and it was today too that John Paul II was beatified. First, some images from the beatification (via

Since we have seen some focus this weekend on the Royal Family in Britain, I should mention that various members of Continental European royalty and aristocracy where in attendance for the beatification. Here are a few.
