As these Vespers were offered on the feast of St. Charles Borromeo, following the incensation of the high altar at the Magnificat, you will note that they then proceed to an altar in the church dedicated to St. Charles Borromeo, with a reliquary bust of the same present on it. This altar and relic are then incensed as well.
In point of fact, this is a good opportunity to mention an exciting development at Ss. Trinita. Beginning this Sunday, from henceforth, Sung Vespers will be celebrated each Sunday at 5:30pm.
This, needless to say, is a fantastic development -- and certainly something to be emulated, not only by other FSSP parishes and apostolates of course, but also generally. I would take a moment again to encourage our pastors, operating within the context of a new liturgical movement (whether within the usus antiquior or with regard to the re-enchantment of the modern Roman liturgy) to begin to take steps and plan how they can begin to introduce the celebration of the Divine Office into their own parishes.
