Readers in the Boston and southern New Hampshire area may be interested to know that Shawn Tribe, founder and editor and the New Liturgical Movement website will address the students of Thomas More College of Liberal Arts in Merrimack, New Hampshire. Shawn's talk, which is also open to the general public, is entitled "The Sacred Liturgy, the Liturgical Life and the New Liturgical Movement." In it he will address such questions as, what is the sacred liturgy and why is it important in the life of the Church? Why should it be important in the life of individual Catholics? What was the Liturgical Movement and what is a "New Liturgical Movement"?
He will explore the these questions by discussing what the Church teaches us about the sacred liturgy. As well, he looks at the question of what is the "New Liturgical Movement", looking into some of the goals of the original Liturgical Movement of the 20th century. He also proposes some thoughts on some of the different aspects and considerations of the New Liturgical Movement and how we might participate in that movement.
It starts at 7pm in the library building at the campus: 6 Manchester Street, Merrimack, NH 03054
