Ironwork has always interested me a great deal, be it in the context of the ecclesiastical, or secular forms of public architecture, or the domestic. From gates and fences, to architectural ornament, ironworks can add a great deal to a building, interiorly and exteriorly.
Accordingly, I was rather interested when I saw that John Sonnen had recently embarked on a little series of the ironworks of Rome.
