Celebrant propers in the new translation

A friend of mine searched the internet for a couple of days looking for samples from the new Missal translation, and I think you will be impressed with the results. They have great dignity, certainly as compared with the current translation stemming from the great mistake of 1970. See what you think.

1st Sunday of Advent
Collect
Grant, we pray, almighty God,
that your faithful may resolve
to run forth with righteous deeds,
to meet your Christ who is coming,
so that gathered at His right hand
they may be worthy to possess the heavenly kingdom.

Prayer after Communion
May the mysteries we have celebrated profit us, we pray, O Lord,
for even now, as we journey through the passing world,
you teach us by them to love the things of heaven
and hold fast to what will endure.

2nd Sunday of Advent
Friday
Collect
Grant your people, we pray, almighty God,
to keep wide awake for the coming of your Only-Begotten Son,
that as He Himself, the author of our salvation, has taught,
we may be alert, with lamps alight,
and hurry out to greet Him as He comes.

4th Sunday of Advent
Collect
Stir up your power, we pray, O Lord, and come,
that with you to protect us
we may find rescue
from the looming dangers of our sins,
and with you to set us free,
be found worthy of salvation.

December 20
Collect
O God, eternal majesty,
whose ineffable Word the immaculate Virgin received
through the message of an Angel,

of her who became the dwelling place of divinity,
and is filled with the light of the Holy Spirit,
we may humbly hold fast to your will.

Baptism of the Lord
Collect
Almighty everlasting God,
You solemnly declared the Christ

this campaign of Christian service
that, as we fight against spiritual evils,
we may be armed with the weapons of self restraint.

to which awesome mysteries bear witness,
you have given us perpetual life.

2nd Sunday of Easter
Collect
God of everlasting mercy,
who in the return of the paschal feast
kindle the faith of the people consecrated as your own,
increase the grace you have bestowed,
that all may grasp and rightly understand

by whose spirit they have been reborn,
through whose blood they have been redeemed.

through our rebirth in Baptism…
