Jansenism, the Liturgy and Ireland

Ignatius Insight today carries a very interesting article on "Jansenism, the Liturgy and Ireland" by Father Brian Van Hove, S.J., which concludes that

Irish liturgical minimalism, for lack of a better way to describe the situation, was due to circumstances, not a reforming impetus such as the Jansenists and others proposed.
