Saint Meinrad Embraces Creative Commons

There is a wonderful trend in the liturgical world toward free sharing of liturgical music. Many sites are involved but it is absolutely thrilling to see Saint Meinrad involved here, using an explicit Creative Commons license as well as selling their material. This is a big breakthrough and a further sign that the artificial restrictions that have encumbered the distribution of good liturgical music for many years is coming to an end. This material is great in every respect and worthy of the rites of the Church, and now its distribution is recalling the age of faith in its methods as well.
