An End to Our Suffering

InsideCatholic ran a piece by me this morning, and what intrigues me can be found in the beginnings of the comment boxes here. I've never understood how the major Catholic music publishers can be so incredibly oblivious to the level of disappointment and anger toward the musical status quo that is out there in regular parishes. The major theorists of "contemporary" or "praise" music can be counted on to dismiss critics as a disgruntled minority of traddies -- whereas all evidence I've seen suggest that it is much deeper and broader. In any case, what matters now is where we go in the future, and this is the focus of my piece.
