Mass of André, Cardinal Vingt-Trois, Archbishop of Paris

Today, the third Sunday of Advent, Cardinal Vingt-Trois came to Saint-Germain l'Auxerrois, the old parish of the kings of France, right in front of the Louvre Museum, where Mass is said every Sunday according to the 1962 missal. On the 4th of January, he will also celebrate the feast of Sainte-Geneviève in the parish of Saint-Eugène. I have published these images as a sign of hope and I would be happy if they do not generate unnecessary criticisms about the non-observation of the rubrics! We well know that the liturgy looks more like a bishop's low Mass, that the altar is too small, that there is no maniple... But we are nevertheless happy because it is the first time that the President of the French Conference of Bishops has publicly celebrated the TLM. This is a sign.
