This is a call to priests and deacons: The NLM would like to hear from you if you have stories of how exposure to the usus antiquior has effected your approach to the modern form of the Roman liturgy. We have occasionally heard from priest who have spoken of the positive influence it has had for them in this regard, and which has been helpful for them in pursuing the project of reforming the reform as well. So now we want to hear from you.
Have you found it has had a positive effect in your ars celebrandi?
Has it provided you with any insights or practical advantages in your celebration of the modern form?
Has it begun to help lay the foundations for reforming the reform? How so?
For the laity: has that liturgical expression changed your own approach to the Holy Mass, whatever form?
Please email your insights and thoughts about this to me.
