I note in today's Vatican Information Service bulletin that the Holy Father met with Professor Robert Spaemann who is a very known and public advocator for the classical Roman Liturgy, and one time president of Pro Missa Tridentina (I'm not certain if he still is president; perhaps someone can confirm):
"On Sunday, May 27, he received audience Robert Spaemann, professor emeritus of the University of Munich, Germany."
I'm not suggesting this is why he met with Professor Spaemann, but it will be interesting to hear in the coming days if Professor Spaemann discussed the motu proprio with the Holy Father and if he gained any insights.
