There is an interesting discussion in today's edition of The Catholic Herald between Moyra Doorly, author of No Place For God: The Denial of the Transcendent in Modern Church Architecture (published by Ignatius Press) and Fr. Aidan Nichols, O.P., who is the author of several titles and who needs no introduction to NLM readers.
The pieces are quite long, so I shall suffice to simply link to them.
Moyra Doorly begins with her letter to Fr. Nichols, Rome and the SSPX: a very puzzling dialogue.
Fr. Aidan Nichols responds with Reply a confused Catholic: The contrasts you draw are unnecessarily sharp
The root of the discussion surrounds the matter of liturgy and doctrine as it relates to the Second Vatican Council and the doctrinal discussions to occur between the Holy See and the Society of St. Pius X.
