Today, His Excellency took the prescribed oath of fidelity towards Germany and Bavaria (a continuation of the medieval oath of fealty) in front of a Crucifix and the Prime Minister of Bavaria in Munich's Prince Carl Palace, putting his right hand on the Gospel.
